How time flies!

I have lived here for nine years and every year Mr Blackbird, or the offspring of the original, stick to through the same routine.

He is out there today clearing his patch by a neighbour's shed. Twigs are carefully picked up and placed some distance away. Old leaves are unceremoniously thrown in the undergrowth. Long blades of grass are furiously plucked from the ground and marched out of range. When he has finished he will do a practice display to loosen things up, then he will be off.

He will keep coming back to 'garden' his patch and maintain its neatness till it is time to attract a mate or impress the wife. :D

It does not seem like five minutes since I was watching all this last year.

that is a lovely thing to be watching Frank - I love birds and wish I could have more in my garden, but it's just not fair on them with the cats.

enjoy

Brilliant WM! No seasons here, I'm afraid, the pigeons are always "at it" on the roof tops or in the oak trees, whatever the temperature or weather conditions .....

Gives "50 Shades of Grey (Pigeon)" a whole new meaning!

I love watching the birds, they're all getting busy now, fluttering and chattering all over the place :)

We have just been watching a pair of robins on our bird-feeders.

A garden is not a garden without birds, IMO.
