On the mend "think"

I have had some bugs in my time but never one like what I have experienced for well over a month. However I walked Oscar with Gus for the first time in weeks. I have missed communicating with you, inspite of the fact you are possible relieved having a break from my rants. Keep well everyone and if you get this virulent flu. Ginger.Lemon.Honey and a little black pepper helps to clear the chest.

Glad to hear you're on the mend Kate. A friend of mine was really ill just before Christmas and he's still not 100% - it really seems to be a very nasty one that's going around and is taking so much longer than normal to shake off

((hug))

Getting really well might take some time, Kate.

I noticed that the car of my neighbour, Sal, has not moved for quite a few weeks. I assumed that she had gone off skiing or for a winter break. However, when I bumped into her coming back from the Co-op she told me that she had come down with something over the New Year and was still not right. She sounded really hoarse and could not complete a sentence without breaking off to cough.

You will just have to keep yourself as well as possible and keep taking the ginger, lemon and honey.

It does seem to be hanging around doesn't it.

Two of our neighbours have had it since before Xmas and are both on antibiotics and when I saw the accountant this morning he said that he had had it also.

Mick and the girls are both ill with a cold at the moment. S was off school on Friday and didnt go to work on Saturday and L was feeling poorly yesterday and is home from school today. Mick started to feel ill on Friday and although he has gone to work today he still isn't right (although he has man flu, the girls have a cold). I am snuffly today and keeping my fingers crossed that it doesn't turn into anything nasty.

Glad you are feeling better Kate.

Hope they're all better soon Debbie, and that you manage to avoid it too. John and I have our fingers crossed that we avoid it here. Tom had a horrible cough and cold and he passed it onto Joe and I will honestly say that I've never known Joe to be so poorly with a cold! Last Monday he said he had a sore throat and he was coughing but seemed okay in himself so I sent him to school, thinking he'd feel better as the day went on, and he ended up having the rest of the week off. It didn't help that he couldn't sleep so was wiped out on top of it :?

Glad to hear you are better now, Kate.

My attack of this chest infection that's going around lasted 5 or 6 weeks.
I found glycerin & honey and paracetamol helped a little, although the
latter pushed up my anti-coagulation readings considerably.

There's certainly been a lot of it about around here. Most unpleasant.
