Morning Jen, mornin everyone

Sounds brilliant - and well done on the up-grade :D :D :D

Not as bad a night as we feared, but that wind is a very cold north one and goes straight through you   But not too many clouds around, so maybe the sun will come out to play :D

Houseworkery stuff for me this morning and then reading this afternoon.

And Porco Alentejana for dinner - berlimey, fish twice in a few days, need head reading

Havea good day everyone, especially Jen, Mr Jen and the Osc's xx

Morning :)
Dry here too, and cold but not freezing - a lovely wintery sort of day :)

Good luck Osc, see you on the other side :D
Jen how lovely, an upgrade to make it all the more special :)
Ton glad no damage :)
Saundra stay put if you can till the ice has gone (((x)))
Kaz can't wait to hear all about it :)

We had a lovely evening with friend D, nothing else went wrong thank goodness - when she got to her house, with our set of keys, she still couldn't get in, the salty air had made the lock stick so Bb had to dash over with some Wd40  :)
H-wordy stuff, washing, etc for today, and maybe a nice read this afternoon.
Hope you all have a good day and take care those with ice and snow
Di

Morning all - usual work day again; the weekends just go by far to fast.

Ton, hope the wind dies down soon - I'm not very fond of wind
Osc, good luck - what an exciting day for you
Jen, I saw a TV broadcast of Adam Lambert (Old Years Eve) and he seemed fab; glad you enjoyed him real life. And enjoy today
Kaz, it'll be lovely having Becks back home and glad you know she's arrived back in Europe safely. The time has flown by hasn't it. Can't wait to hear all about it
Di, now remember; not too much h/work - make sure you have enough relax time ;)

Have a lovely day all, stay warm and dry and enjoy whatever it is you're up to

x

Good morning, all.

It's bright and sunny here now, but the roads are a bit hazardous in places.
Just back from the weekly supermarket shopping trip. Saw a nasty collision
between a motorcylist and a car, no doubt due to an acy road.

Hope you are all well.

Good afternoon all, it's going quite dull here now and it's cold but thankfully not too icy out.

I'm just back from walking Billy. I went into town very first thing to get a loaf and a few bits, came home, did a few jobs and then was out with Billy by 9.40am. I was feeling so chuffed with myself for getting well ahead and knew we'd be about an hour. And then we bumped into a man on the common who talked and talked and talked and talked...and then talked some more. I'd never met him before but now I know his age (42), the ages of his kids and his stepkids, I know all about his new solar panels and the facts and figures about them, his health issues, where he lives, where he was born (East London), the ages of his siblings and how many he has (he's the oldest of 5 and the youngest is 21)...I even know how much his sister's boyfriend weighs!! I could go on...
And it turned out that he was looking at one of the houses the same as ours around the corner when we were buying ours - imagine bumping into him every day, we have to pass those houses to get to the path to the common!
Thankfully he had a dog so Billy was happily playing with him but I looked at my watch when we walked away from him and it was 11.25am so by the time we were home it was just before 11.50

Kaz, have a lovely time catching up with Becky! :D
Jen, glad that Adam didn't disappoint - he has one hell of a voice!

Have a good day all!
