Bugbears ....

Bugbears .... no, I don't mean those flea-invested, scratchy, growly hulks prowling around the house. They're called "husbands" ...

I mean the one thing that really gets to you; possibly irrationally.

For me, it's when you go into a cafe or a pub restaurant, and they've put all the knives and forks in a pot - with the tines and the blades upwards. I mean, how many people have handled the business end of those implements before you make your choice? I have to ostentatiously take my chosen pair and scrub them clean with a serviette or a disinfectant wet wipe. Why do businesses insist on displaying their cutlery like that? :(

That's mine - what's your biggest bugbear? :)

People saying in shops "Can I get..."

I don't know, can you? Why not just say "Can I have.."

I know it's irrational!

People who carry on talking on phones when being served in shops, people who break off a face to face conversation to answer phones..

I'll be back with more....

Move down the bus!

When all seats are taken people who get their ticket then stand right by the door. Then the next ones get on and do the same!

That's mine, too. I had a very near escape from one this morning. Don't they know it's a punishable offence?

It's always happening around here. I've written to the Police complaining, but nothing has been done about it.

I think I'm going to ask whether I can make a Citizen's Arrest. Of course, I'd have to stick a walking stick in their
front wheel to stop them.

The flipping police are useless here.

I often listen to Jeremy Vine on Radio 2. Sometimes, when he is conducting an interview the interviewee never knows when to just shut up :( They go on and on and on... Poor old JV tries to get a word in, but no, they just keep on going. Drives me bonkers!
