My broken foot.

I was coming home from Leeds city centre and got stuck in a traffic jam due to the traffic lights at Sheepscar being on the blink. Cars were moving very slowly trying to get in and the problems cause huge tailbacks before and after interchange.
I managed to get through unscathed, but that was only to get to the back of very slow moving traffic on Meanwood road. I was slowly overtaking this queue, as another motorbike and a pushbike were doing. Suddenly a car indicated and pulled out - it was all one motion - and I was unlucky enough to be right alongside when it happened. I had seen the indicator as I was only a bike's length behind the car and I heard a man walking on the other side of the road say "No, no, no" but it was too late.
The car shoved me over and spun me round so that the car and I were on the wrong side of the road - facing traffic. To cut a longs story short, we collected all the bits up and checked the bike over. Many of the panels just shattered, they are plastic, but everything else was working. Me and the driver exchanged details and a woman in a car coming the opposite way. She, Sandra, had taken photos and has offered to be my witness. She saw everything and said straight away that the car driver was to blame.
I was feeling bit sore in my foot, knee and thumb so went to bed early. I did not sleep because of the pain in my foot and for a few times sat with it in a bowl if iced water. Come the morning I got a taxi to A&E at LGI where I spent most of the day in the system - X-rays were taken.
My thumb got over-extended, so no break. My knee is only bruised and grazed. However. I have broken two bones just behind the smallest toes and damaged the medial ligaments. There nothing much that can be done except to rest the foot and take pain killers. I do not have a cast because of the swelling, but I have to go to my GP in a few days to see how things are going.
It's all a bit of a bugger, as we say up here.
