Jasper

Nearly lost him tonight! Our garden is well fenced and there is no way out...yeah, right :?
He went out into the garden tonight, but didn't come back. He often snuffles out hedgehogs and sits under the hedge whining at them, so we thought he had found one. Mr Loz went out first. Nothing. I went out, nothing. I then shone the torch through the gate and there he was on the other side! He had been missing for half an hour, so must have been on the road!!! I have had a look under the hedge by the gate and he has managed to get under the fence. So that is job number one tomorrow.

Oh goodness Loz! What a scare! :o So glad you found him, safe and sound! At least he'd stayed close to home and hadn't wandered off.

((((Loz))))

You're lucky he didn't stray too far.

We had trouble like that with Prince when he was a puppy.
It became a battle between my handyman skills and his ingenuity in defeating them.

Never underestimate the reasoning powers of a dog.

I'm glad Jasper is alright.

:o Oh my goodness, what a fright!!!!!! I'm glad he was ok Loz, it's my worst nightmare but we have a small garden with very strong fencing, no hedges, so ours can only get out if the gate is open.

Hugs ((((((((((((((((x))))))))))))))))))

I'm so thankful that it was late, so the road wasn't busy. I'm not going to think too much about what could have happened, just get the fence fixed pronto

Berlimey, clever animals, these dogs, aren't they?

Bet you're out there now, making sure he can't escape again.

Such a scare for you both.

Gosh, Loz, that made me jump. It is so frightening when a pet gets out unnoticed..... and even more so when they are not used to being on their own.

Maybe Jasper just did it 'to do it' and having done it didn't quite know how to get back. It is good the know he is safe and sound.

 What a scare for you!

Similar thing happened to Tom when he took both our dogs up to the farm last week - it was dark but the dogs are fine running about the enclosed field in the dark...only they didn't come back when called  Turns out a fence that previously had been repaired had somehow become accessible again, and of course they got through it! :( Tom was really scared as once they are out of the field there is nothing else to keep them safe....luckily eventually they did come back :)
