The French

What is it with the French people?

They see a house for sale, ring your bell - or in this case stand at the gate - we were sat outside, doing our Darby and Joan impression    - and want to have a look around

We have had about 10 French people look around, not one (apart from Michel) has been in touch, offer to buy or even make an offer.

This time, we had magnifique!!! and other very nice words.

Nice words do not buy a house - give me the money

I must be unique, I don't mind the French.

I don't find them at all deceitful, duplicitous, two-faced lying barstewards with garlic breath and smelly feet.

They never look very happy on holiday - you could tell the French in Corfu, they looked so sulky :? "Cheer up, you're on holiday on a beautiful Greek Island! Crack a smile, eat some carbs............... :P"   ;)

I'd like Michel - if he only bought our house

It is normal - apparently, for the French to do this

And with my surname    - for those who know, it's probably German, although Grumpy's grandfather was French

Individually, those I've known have been lovely, as with Germans.
As a sweeping generalisation though, both are strange - as no doubt we are ;) :)
