crew had police escort from airport to their hotel ,told to stay in their rooms,will have police escort back to airport

she is wearing gloves at all times and washing her hands when she is'nt wearing gloves

My nephew's wife is crew on Cathay Pacific and she says that it is not the glamorous job it is sold to be. Turn-round times can be so short that there is not time to do much more than eat, sleep and get ready for the trip back. And don't mention "passengers", esp business and first!

They work hard - it is just glorified waitressing really

I've done waitressing - and that is not all it's cracked up to be - on yer tootsies for hours on end, crappy customers, nice customers and then there's some one like me, wot's dun it - so I really realy try and be nice.

And then they are blummin awful - bad day, bad hair day, wotever

Try and be Nizette - start at 7.00 ever morning and leave at 2.00 next morning.

Every day. Apart from the day your husband died, and then the next day, when they buried him.

How funny, I was only telling someone earlier today about the flight we had to Florida a few years ago and how awful it must be for the crew to work on that route. Not only were they glorified waitresses but also childminders, rounding up children running amok around the plane whilst their parents too advantage of the inflight entertainment and, no doubt, free drinks service. It was a lovely smooth flight but the seatbelt sign was put on to enable the crew to do their jobs unhindered by children in the aisles. Unfortunately it wasn't a one-off, friends of ours flew out the following morning on the same flight and had exactly the same experience.
