Only two years old, a Morphy Richards I bought as a set with the toaster, so I wasn't happy!Whilst I was in town today I thought I'd have a look in Wilko's, but the identical kettle in there was £40 and TBPH if they are only going to last two years I'm not happy paying that! Their own brand ones were the wrong shade of red - too tomatoey - so I thought I'd probably have to go down to the Quays to the Tefal and Pro Cook shops for a look. I decided I might as well go for a cuppa before that, so nipped into Sainsbury's for a newspaper to read and there on a sale shelf was a nice modern looking kettle in exactly the right shade of red! Marked down to £19.99 but when the cashier put it through the till it had gone down frther still, to £14.99! I used my Nectar points to pay £12.50 of it (you can only use points in blocks of £2.50) so only had to put £2.49 in cash towards it!!!!
Bearing in mind it is only a small Sainsbury's with very few electricals it seemed almost fate! 
Rather pleased!
