...... mists and mellow fruitfulness.
And bleddy crane flies!!
AAAARGHHHHH. Wretched things flitting around all over the garden ..... can't open the back door without them flying into the kitchen.

Talking of Autumn...having just spent a week in the UK it was lovely to see the changing colours of the leaves on the trees.
I picked some conkers too.
We don't get Autumn as such over here...a late summer, a very short winter and spring then back into summer.
Autumn was always my absolute favourite season when I lived in the UK.

We get conkers and pine cones on the ground round here - as you cut through the footpaths from the main road through the estate it is very well planted with trees, and there are a lot of gold and orange leaves already
I moan when summer ends but actually we are lucky to get seasons, and the trees do look very pretty

I love autumn. It can be a little sad sometimes, but I do love to see the changing seasons

And the fluttery noise they make!! *shudders* Daddies and moths are my most feared insects.

Oh I don't mind crane flies / daddy long legs / house spiders at all. Admittedly not overly fond of the spiders but I wouldn't harm them and as long as they stay out of my way then fine. If however they are determined to annoy then they get gathered up in a plastic container and removed to the great outdoors
it's definitely nippy in the mornings and evenings now and where I live we usually have lots of morning mist; I do quite like this time of year

None of them really bother me either, but the daddies do flit about all over the place.
I like autumn too

I love autumn. It is my absolute favourite season.
I love the colours of the trees, the early morning mists, the days still being nice and sunny (hopefully) but the evenings drawing in and being chilly enough to light fires.
Jam making, gin making, bread making (I don't make half as much bread in the summer months), slow cooker dinners, the smell of coal fires in the air (I think every house around us has an open fire/log burner now), decent dramas on tv, pumpkins and squashes.
You name it, I love it.
Except the bats. I hate the bats. And boy do we have a lot of bats around us.
