Good mornng Thursday

Postby debih » 11 Sep 2014, 05:29

Mornng all. Very misty this morning.

Another rubbish nights sleep for me. I saw 2am and woke just after 6am. I'm really struggling to get to sleep at the moment.

A day of h-work for me today after I've been jewellery shopping. I was convinced it's my mums 69th birthday next week and had bought her a plant. Then she mentioned that it's her 70th. She doesn't want any fuss - not even a meal. But it warrants more than a plant.

Morning :)
Rather nice again here, chilly early on but that's to be expected I guess. Still no rain forecast so towels are in the wash.
Was under strict instructions to have a day off yesterday so apart from a quick trip to the little Tesco and cooking dinner, I did nothing :)
Which means today I must do Things - those boring things, dusting/cleaning, paperwork - how does it pile up so?!

Debih yes definitely more than a plant; hope you can get some proper sleep soon, it saps your energy doesn't it (((x)))
Glad you enjoyed the film Ally, have another fabby day won't you :)
Hope everyone has a good day

Morning all, it's bright and sunny here now that the mist has cleared.

There's some housework to do today and the weekly shop which I'll do tonight.

I'll also spend the day trying to think up an excuse. A neighbour invited me to the launch of her Forever Living business on Oct 4th. I, and most others invited, made our excuses on her Facebook Event...so she's now changed the date to the following week. I really can't be bothered with these kind of selling parties, the products are usually way overpriced as well but I always feel obliged to buy something. Problem with her living two doors away is that I need a decent excuse because she can see if I stay in when I've told her that I can't make it because I'm going out

Have a good day all!

Morning all - another usual work day for me ; sigh.... but off to Karl and Nadine's this evening after work. It's Amelia's birthday - she's 8 today. So heading there to wish her in person and have a celebratory glass of bubbly as one does; well the adults at least :D

Jo; easier said than done but just say you can't make it. You don't have to give a reason really, do you? And if she badgers then just say that you don't feel right going because you wouldn't be buying anything and it didn't feel right to you. That way if she says to come along anyway and you do go then make sure you leave your purse behind so you;re not even tempted into a guilty purchase.

Di, I know what you mean - it seems a never ending circle of cleaning doesn't it. Start the one end and by the time you get to the other side of the house you may as well start all over again. My neighbours have a huge birch tree in their garden and that think creates such an incredible mess  But it's lovely for the birds so for their sake I'll put up with it

Ally, glad you're having a good time. Enjoy the day today - sounds like a perfect day to me ;) x

Debih, yup something more than a plant will be needed I suspect ;) What type of jewellery are you getting (being very nosy here :D )? Sorry to hear you're not sleeping well - have you tried some natural remedies such as lavendar, rescue remedy? But also if you believe in these things, we've just had a full moon so that may be influencing your sleep pattern as well. Not only lighter at night than normal because the skies have been quite clear?

Have a lovely day all xxx

Morning everyone :)

Ally have a great day :D

Di it really does pile up, not done much myself since Monday so had better bite the bullet and get on! I will do the ironing in front of the TV and watch Frasier I think 8-)

Debih I'm sure you'll find something nice for your mum :)

Ria, Happy Birthday to Amelia :D xxx

Jo I am like you and hopeless at getting myself out of things   Good luck xxxx

Well apart from the housey stuff, I need to spend a fair bit of time uploading my pics from Tuesday onto Photobucket, and as the sun is shining (you're right though Di there is a fair nip in the air first thing) I will try and fit in a walk as well 8-) Oh and H is coming tomorrow, so I need to make sure his room is ready :) 8-)

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

I think I'm going to get her a nice necklace. Or maybe a bracelet.

Jo - you could leave it and make an excuse on the day by saying you are ill. Although then if no one else turns up you could end up feeling guilty. I think just send your apologies saying you cant make it but not giving an excuse. I doubt she would be cheeky enough to demand an explanation but if she does just tell her that money is tight and you don't want to go in case you are tempted to buy something you can't afford. Surely she won't press you if you tell her money is tight.

I am going to call into the health food shop today to see if I can get some natural sleep remedy, other than my herbal tea. Maybe it is the moon Ria - I have noticed that my teeth and nails feel sharper, my hair is longer and I keep howling now and again. ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

Morning all, it's shaping up to be another lovely day once the residual mist burns off. Can't believe how gorgeous it has been. Another day of packing packing packing, plus Michael will be here after school. I will do no more washing/ironing now, so the iron etc. can be put away. It all looks a terrible mess at the moment but there is a sort of pattern along with my beloved lists so hopefully we won't lose too much  Finished the ironing last night, plus more paperwork, there is sooooooo much of it to be done

We got the keys to our "holiday" apartment yesterday and a look around, it's really nice, I'm sorry we didn't book two weeks now  but at €500 a week, one week was all we could manage. We'll move stuff there tomorrow, with the rest going into our neighbour's vacant bedsit.

Enjoy your day everyone :)

Morning everyone

Another lovely morning here, although we keep having black clouds whizzing over - and whizzing past

We've been promised rain for the last three days, but nothing turned up as yet - apart from the rain yesterday which sounded worse than it was - the patio stayed dry :?

Pootling for us this morning and then off to the Centro de Saude in Olhao this afternoon.

Debih, I'm not sleeping well either, but instead of teeth and nails tingling, I was eating cold curry at 1.30 this morning

Hope you all have a good day, happy birthday to Amelia Ria :D xx
