Poorly car

I'm sat having coffee waiting to hear what the damage is going to be.

I think I have a leak in my radiator. There has been a bubbling noise going on for the past couple of days and this morning it sounded like ice rattling around in there too.

So its at the garage at the moment. Have to go back in half an hour to find out.

Fingers crossed its nothing serious - or expensive!!

I've left it with him. I went back and he said that it is definitely leaking as he had to fill it up with water again and it has also lost all the anti freeze he put in about 4 weeks ago but he can't see obviously where it is coming from.

Fortunately the in laws are still on their holibobs so I walked to their house and fetched their car (I parked there this morning as the county hall car park was full and they live close by and I had the foresight to start the car to make sure it was going as it hasn't been started for about a month). It was quite a nice walk really - took me around an hour from leaving my car to fetching their car and arriving home again. So at least I'm not without a car.

When I came back past the garage I spotted that my car was up in the air. I am desperately hoping it isn't anything too expensive - we have some money left over from the kitchen but that was ear marked for other things - mainly a massive service for Micks van.

He (the mechanic) is going to ring me either later today or tomorrow.

We don't seem to be having a huge amount of luck at the moment do we!

Could be something simple like a broken hose. Or a broken thermostat which would make the coolant boil away. Damage inside the engine will usually show up when the oil dip stick is removed.
Good luck. Hope it is not too expensive.
What make and type of car is it?
:) :) :)
