One down two to go.
Cases that is. One is packed and downstairs. The other to will be packed today. It is my job to close and lock them and then take them down stairs. they weigh about 20 Kg so I slide them down the stairs

We are off to Chesterfield for the girls to clothes shop. Again!

Not decided what to do tonight. Do I go out or do I stay in. I have to chauffeur Lucy to the fair and back.

Dragging Grumpy out for a walk - a long one, up to the EN125, then down into the village, and then I'll let him have a beer at Nizette's so we can drop the container off and I'll pick a few lemons from our tree for her too

Dull here, and not as warm - but it's not raining
Yesterday wasn't nice all day either, it was cloudy a lot of the time, but we fitted in a lovely walk around the sea wall (short version). Hadn't been for ages as they were working on it but it's all finished now

It's a bits and bobs and this and that sort of day...

Well today is house deadline day. After taking advice we sent an e-mail to the agent with our revised offer on Tuesday afternoon. In spite of noting that three people in the office actually read it, the person dealing with was out of the office all day Wednesday so it just sat there Finally got a reply yesterday lunchtime to let me know the vendors have been on holiday and she'd been unable to contact them as they were actually travelling back all day. She did say she felt it was extremely unlikely they would consider our offer but would be discussing it with them this morning. Seeing as the contract can't be drawn up without a price and the fact they still haven't supplied the necessary easement documents regarding the access I think we can definitely put this one to bed. Of course we'll go through the motions and wait for the call later today, but realistically the race is on to find a rental. We're booked into the usual hotel from Monday for a week so it's fingers crossed and watch this space.
