Not really my day today

Postby cromwell » 29 Aug 2014, 19:11

An hour since I took MrsC to the shops and waited outside in the car. After a bit I wound the car window down to look out and see if she was coming. Ten seconds later a massive 4 x 4 steamed at unabated pace straight through the huge puddle next to my car...

It flung a mini tsunami of mucky puddle water through the open car window, all over me and all over the inside of the car.

It was a bit like Unlucky Alf off The Fast Show. I noticed the convergence of open car window, speeding 4 x 4 and massive puddle and said "Oh..". But before I could complete the sentence with "Bugger", I was drenched. :)

Well now, had you been more 'modern man' you would have gone into the shop to help Mrs C and would have not been there with window open when the 4x4 caused the Tsunami. Just saying. ;)

but more seriously; that 4x4 driver must have been driving a fair speed for the spray to reach as high as your window Cromwell. I have this thing about most (definitely not all!!!!) 4x4 drivers because most just don't give a sh*t about others on the road. You should she the yummy mummy's that drive them here - it's all about me me me me

He was going a fair whack Ria. Most people wouldslow down and move more towards the crown of the road, but not this one. It was one of those double cab 4 x 4's with a flat bed truck back thingy; and yes Kaz, we suffer from the "Out of my way, I'm driving a Range Rover!" type up here as well.
