some people can be

We were sat at the coffee, chatting with a couple of friends - not seen them for a long time, so having a good catch-up.

Along comes that weird bloke we met and plonks himself down at our table :o    not for the first time either  Grumpy said, we're with friends - so he just sat there, moved his chair closer and closer and then made a comment - at which we all glared at him as it was totally wrong and a few minutes later he went.

Don't think we'll be seeing him again ;)

LOL.

That reminds of a time that we did a ladies wot lunches thing at a friends house. We have a chap in the village - very nice man but a complete pain in the butt that no one ever wants to get stuck with as you can't get away from him.

When we got to our friends house for lunch he was sat at her dining table - he'd popped in for a chat as he was bored (he was off work at the time with a broken leg after a skiing holiday accident). She had told him she was busy as she had the girlies coming for lunch but he just sat there, watching her get everything ready. When we arrived he did move - but only from the dining table to the computer desk across the other side of the room. We all sat around the table chatting, pretending he wasn't there and still he sat there, chipping in every now and again. Wendy told him a couple of times that our food was almost ready and we would be eating soon. But still he sat there, foot up on a stool, obviously in for the duration.

Fortunately his wife was invited for lunch and when she arrived, very apologetically saying that she was late, she soon sent him home with a flea in his ear.

That's a good old saying. I haven't heard it since my school days.

It was a favorite threat of our Headmaster.
