A pastime for Tablets

Postby Diflower » 26 Aug 2014, 14:08

Thought I'd post this here rather than on computers.
If you haven't already got it, This is a really good game/puzzle for tablets.

You follow a grid to fill in squares with either black & white, or colours, and it makes a picture :)

It's free, and there are often updates with more puzzles.
They're arranged into simple/small/large/coloured/advanced, so it's easy to learn.
It's how I pass the time if I'm up really early, and sometimes am too tired to concentrate on reading.
Some of the puzzles have squares that are too small to manage on a 7" tablet, but there are plenty there - nearly 300 I think :)

We're going shopping for a new vacuum cleaner on Friday (well, when I say shopping, I'll just buy the first one I see! ) so will have a look at tablets then. :D :D

It's a nicely quiet thing to do Kaz, and you can pick it up and put it down as you want :)

Ally I have a kindle fire hdx and really like it - but like Kaz I don't have a smartphone.
For me it's handy to take to hospital etc in case I'm held up, but also I can have my photos on there to show people, which otherwise I can't unless they come here ;)

I use it for all sorts, it was handy on holiday as I loaded a radio app, so we could have that on, plus my music downloads. Of course being a kindle it does books too, which means it's worth having a couple of cookbooks with nice pictures.
The battery lasts ages if I'm not online, and online it's pretty good too.
Oh and the hdx comes with a super-fast mains charger :)

If you get one, I'd recommend a stylus to help with some of the games etc, makes life much easier, but doesn't need to be expensive, mine came with a smart purple spotted case I bought for the tablet :)

I have a Nexus 10 and I love it. Well actually it's Mr PP's because I bought it for his birthday in February, but I knew perfectly well that I was buying it for myself. ;)

At the moment my favourite app for the tablet is a jigsaw one. I'm getting a bit obsessed with it and I've been doing a jigsaw in bed instead of improving my mind with a good book.
