Good Morning Tuesday

Postby Kaz » 26 Aug 2014, 06:51

I nearly put Monday - it doesn't take much to confuse me after a Bank Holiday

A very early start here, Mick had to be up at 6 anyway as he's now at Birmingham Airport ready to catch a plane to Edinburgh for work. Back tomorrow. That would have been early enough but he got a call out at 4.30, so we've pretty much been awake since then :? I'm fine now but if I'm snoring by tea time somebody poke me to wake me up please :P

I think I'll stay home with the dogs today, they will be missing Mick, it's cold and wet anyway, and I don't need to go out for anything 8-) If it dries up I might do some washing, and maybe some weeding in the garden, but otherwise nothing planned :)

Have a good day everyone :)xxxx

Morning all :D

Our grass is in urgent need of cutting too Saundra, not likely to happen if this weather doesn't brighten up.

Yesterday we managed to fill most of the empty boxes, it's surprising how much packaging each little cottage uses. Oh and we found another complete tea/dinner service, Royal Albert, had been tucked away in the loft :? Need to ring a couple of the removal bods today to clarify a couple of things and then we'll get one booked. We're actually doing the packing but both will supply the boxes so the sooner we get started on the rest of the stuff the better.

No packing today though, we're off to the cinema to see Lucy later this morning and then we'll stay out and have a late lunch/early dinner.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Morning everyone

Hot :D Nicely hot, not hot hot

Ironing for me later, having to think of what Grumpy can do   vacuuming, probably ;) then I'll do under the things he went around

Apart from that, being rather quiet here. I sit in the shade in the afternoon, with just my legs in the sun, trying to get them brown   The rest of me is fine, my legs aren't brown yet

Have a good day everyone, hope the weather improves for you all, safe flight to M x

Thanks Ton, he should be in mid air now, somewhere over Lancashire maybe? lol

Saundra so far they are very quiet - sulking I think

Just the thought of packing up a house again gives me a headache Jen, having done it several times in the last ten years! Good idea to take a day off, hope you enjoy the film 8-)

Morning all. A lazy morning here - L and I didn't get up until 10am. :o :o Its my last day off today - back to work tomorrow after almost 3 weeks off.

Daft really going back for a day but we are only supposed to take a maximum of 2 weeks leave so I couldn't get the day off (its worked out at almost 3 weeks as I finished on a Wednesday, had my 2 weeks off and then didn't go back today or yesterday due to the bank holiday). Oh well, the boss is on holiday so its only me and my colleague who has has the same time off as me so we will just spend the day catching up with what we have both been doing. I bet very little work will actually get done!

Mick was up and out before 5am and isn't back until tomorrow - he's gone to Hertfordshire somewhere. S is due home from camping today - she will be rather soggy as it hasn't stopped raining since Sunday night.

I will be pottering - I need to hoover and mop, clean the oven and make rhubarb jam. Poor Millie hasn't had a proper walk this morning - just been shoved out in the garden. But she is at the vets later for the second part of her boosters so she will get a good run then. I only want to get wet once today!!

Morning Debih :) I'm hoping the rain will stop by tea time, when my dogs will be due their second walk of the day - especially as I have to walk them one at a time as I can't hold them both

Morning all! Dull and grey here and I see that there is some mizzley stuff blowing in the strong easterly wind - I have towels on the line and they can stay there  We are going out later to do some pricing of bathroom stuff/tiles/flooring and I've been busy this morning with phone calls and emails from the architect's office about official documentation relating to the start of our build. It's brilliant with modern technology that he can phone me, say something needs signing, he emails to me, I print it, we sign it, scan it and email it back to him, all done within five minutes :D I have a sinusy thing going on so sound rather nasal talking through by dose  Time to have my shower and do some tidying up up around the house. Have a good day everyone, sounds like the only people with nice weather are Ally and Ton!
