O.H recently had her small private pension mature in the UK,from which an amount was taken in tax,which we don't pay in the UK.

rang HRMC and a person told us what form we needed to download & fill in & send it to them,

duly done.

just had a reply-the form you filled out is APRIL 2014 (we had not spotted this printed in the bottom left corner) ,you need to fill out a form for APRIL 2015- so we have enclosed one-fair enough

only as we look at what they have sent ,it is dated 2014 but crossed out & 2015 written in pen in it's place

could'nt they have done this with original form??

Vic, it is not worth it trying to argue. Just accept that the system is crap. You won't win, they will hope that you will give in.... and you will.

Unless you're me, then that's different.
