It's a lovely morning here today. But yesterday it ended up being Freezing. I have to admit I cracked - and turned the central heating on. It has been blinking cold for August though; I keep torturing myself by looking at the temperatures in Cyprus (28 c at 10.pm the other night!)

I think we are having a very early autumn, even on the sunny days the mornings and evenings have a real nip about them!

Summer was early though, here at least, and it has been good so we can't really complain too much. I feel sorry for those still on their 'summer' breaks though :?

We went to a friends last night with the intention of sitting out on their new patio with a pizza and some sparkly wine.

We ended up inside with the log burner lit!

It has been chilly at night - and not exactly hot during the days, it's to do with this air from the Arctic.
Depends how long it takes to shift I suppose, but there should still be a good dose of decent stuff left yet :)
And we've still had virtually no rain, which makes a big difference - it may not be hot hot, but at least people can still get out and about :)

That's true Di, and to me the sun makes a big difference, even when it's chilly 8-) ;)

It has not been rain free up here. We have had some torrential downpours and days when it has been a mix of sunshine and showers.

The longer term forecast is for it to get back to normal at the end of next week and the first week of September. I hope so.
