Twitter - a warning, just in case

Postby Diflower » 14 Aug 2014, 19:51

I'm registered on twitter but barely use it.
A while ago several of us all contacted each other via here, so we're all connected.

Today I had an email from twitter saying Jo had mentioned me in a tweet. The link didn't work, so I went in separately and saw that she hadn't mentioned me.
But the email also had a link, in blue, to I don't know what, because I don't click on unknown links ;)

Although I don't use it much, I've been registered for about 3 years, and this is the first time I've had anything even slightly iffy, so I'm not worried particularly. But for those of us who know each other - just be a bit wary ;)

Di, split the link up with spaces so that it doesn't look like http://www.link.co.biz..... more www link co biz and send it via PM and I'll look into it.

It will be interesting to know what Jo says about her alleged tweet.

Nothing weird showing Frank, just a retweet of something Paddy Crerand tweeted, a tweet to Evil Kagawa (don't ask!!) and a picture of Adnan Janujaz's shirt.
Well...I don't think they're weird anyway :P

Di, it's a social hub based in Innsbruck, Austria, and retweets posts. How it got involved with your circle of friends is anyone's guess. That's social networks for you....what you post is out there, regardless of how private you might think it is.

Thanks WM, that's ok then :)
You get all sorts, but usually it's 'x wants to follow you' and you can see they're a business or whatever.
This one was different so thought I'd best try and check it out ;)
