Good morning.

That big yellow thing in the sky is blazing down again.

Off to the airport this morning to pick our friends up who are staying with us tonight.

They have a time share holiday apartment for two weeks in August but if they'd flown over tomorrow the flights would have been almost £500 more!

This way they're having a pre-holiday holiday.

We're all going out for the day...and night.

Sounds like you're in for some fun having friends to stay Ally

Up early as I have to take the car over to the garage for assessment. We bought a new sat nav a couple of days ago so although we know where we're going it's a good opportunity to try it out before our trip to Kent next week. The old one was completely useless last time, it's mapping is so out of date and updates for it so ridiculously expensive, it worked out much cheaper to get a new one with lifetime updates.

Managed to finish clearing out the upstairs drawers, three bin bags later I have to wonder how I fitted all the rubbish in because they're definitely not empty Expecting a client at 10.30ish and then providing it stays dry we really need to cut the grass. After that I'm guessing another trip to the tip beckons.

Morning all - looking overcast here, that bad weather is on its way, the tail end of that hurricane Doesn't bode well for the weekend, we wanted to have a BBQ on Sunday, with H being here.............We'll have to see

Not sure of the plans yet for today, H is still in bed

Decent enough start here, think we're supposed to be ok for much of today; don't think the bad stuff's coming till Sunday but they're not sure of the exact track of it yet.

Debih I don't know what forecast you've see, but the one on Breakfast is absolutely fine for tomorrow

Debih - safe travels tomorrow; as Di says the weather down this way is meant be quite OK tomorrow so hopefully the drive is better than you expect; it is a heck of a long way to go
Jen - I also got a new SatNav about 4 weeks ago with HD traffic and life time map updates; I love it. Hope yours works OK and good luck with the car

Morning dear hearts Nice start to the day here, but cooler.
Off into to Salisbury for a little mooch. I'm looking for a top in a particular shade of blue to go with a skirt. I want to wear it tonight at a milonga, so the hunt is on
FiL coming tomorrow to stay for a few days, so need to get his room sorted and food bought for the weekend too.

Popping down to the village later, for our usual losing lotto ticket and then a pit stop and people watch . Coffee and water for me and beer for himself - at least I'm taking this seriously He feels awkward, sitting in a coffee, with coffee
