Is it home time yet

Postby meriad » 04 Aug 2014, 15:36

I don't really like August when it comes to being in the office. We're generally not a very busy / buzzing office as it is, but come August it seems nearly 2/3 of the office are on holiday and it's horribly quiet and the days just drag.

Most of our town closes in August Ria - shops and bars etc.

As it's so hot (today is 46 degrees) they shut up shop and go off on holiday.

It makes the days seem awfully long, doesn't it - and all those things you could be doing at home  :)

Think most of them have come here

Time drags though Ria, when you're used to being busy.

I used to love August, at work, as we were sooooo busy, getting ready for the new intake and getting rid of the paper work for the last one.

Its driving me mad, most of the hospital are on holiday it would seem. Twenty minutes I sat waiting for switchboard to answer the phone today and not one of the three Consultants I wanted had anyone answering their phones
