Morning Ally, morning all We have beautiful blue sky and sunshine but not quite scorchio temperatures - yet
A few bits and pieces for me today, sorting out some books and things, and the jumble at the bottom of my wardrobe Plus cricket on the radio, a bit of le Tour, and some reading Hope you all have a good day Di x
I have to go to work for a couple of hours and then home to sort out all the soft fruit I picked from the allotment last night.
S is off school because of the strikes. L who is at the same school but a different site is not off. That hasn't gone done well.
S is off into town to see the Queen who for some reason is arriving at Matlock railway station at 10.30 this morning. She'll be driving right past my office later so I might look out for her to give her a wave.
A grey, windy and chilly start to the day here in London and it's not set to improve at all and the weekend is looking as miserable - sigh.
Usual work day for me followed by another quiet evening of nothingness planned at home - although there is something on BBC2 (I think) at 8pm that I want to see - an overview of the Hampton Court Flower Show and one of the small show gardens I'm particularly interested in (Hedgehog Street) got a Gold and they're going to be on TV
Hot I've just finished all the watering and I'm leaking
Pootling for us - still waiting to hear about the car
So I've e-mailed Bente and told her we may not be able to get up to her house on Monday to finish off the cleaning. No doubt she'll ask us to hire a car or get a taxi

Kids got tv all afternoon today as I've been like a bear with a sore head today, and them absorbed into the tv stopped them being kids and me snapping at them. Sasha bless her, understood when I explained, and did her best to keep Oliver quiet, but the tv worked better. It's not her job to be his mother. Extra cuddles for them both tomorrow.
