And on a Saturday night as well!! I'm going to really push the boat out and finish the ironing and the cleaning I started yesterday (too much flack from my fall and getting lost to concentrate on anything so mundane as cleaning then! ) T is out at the dog track and he is 'working' so no point me going and it doesn't really float my boat anyway, and J is working so at least I have the telly to myself....downside is I am in charge of our dogs so I hope they behave! I've already taken them for their evening walk and fed them, I'll bring them into the conservatory when it is a bit cooler in there, the sun has been out all afternoon and it is HOT in there!!

Hope it stays peaceful, but I'd rather put my feet up than clean and iron on a Saturday night

Still, at least ironing can be done in front of the telly I suppose

I love nights home alone, they're very rare though!

I was looking forward to John and the boys going camping this Summer but I expect that Tom will now want to stay home!

I quite like them too, but even days alone here are rare, with Mick working from home, B home from uni, and the dogs..... I go out to get my peace and quiet

That's like here really, now the school year's coming to an end Tom's going in later or coming home earlier on the days that he has free periods at the start and/or end and if anything we've gained another body in the house now M's around a lot

Me too - in the week when Jen's not working cos she's got the bleedin' radio on ALL DAY!! I like quiet when I'm home, or at least my own choice of radio station So, I go out too Costs me a fortune

Yep similar here with B either listening to music or the telly on in the background as she clatters on her keyboard - daytime tv is the pits these days Oh and the occasional raised voice drifting down the stairs from M's study, or the dogs yapping at someone daring to walk past the house

The hustle and bustle in the city is relaxing after that It can get pricey though, even the cups of tea, toasted tea cakes and bus fares, when I use them, add up Not to mention the unmissable bargains you come across......

Oh heck Kaz, thinking about the bargains you get in Gloucester...there's a public exhibition at the college this weekend for this place.
Really hope it happens, it's just what the area needs and the bonus is that it isn't on some remote out of town site which you need a car to get to. It'd take me about 30 mins to walk there, it's just the other side of the town centre and the council seem very positive about having it in the town.

Precisely! Add on my petrol and car parking charges...... Oh and things like falling over Safer/cheaper at home tbh, if noisier!!

I have to say, after I fell on Friday, I phoned T and in a wobbly voice I said "I fell down!" Haha I felt about 6 years old
