Grrrr

I mentioned last year about a cousin of mine who'd slagged me off for wearing shorts.

Well..she's just been horrid to me again.

I've just been chatting to her on fb and was telling her my dad will be 75 on January 13th.

She then asked what I'm getting him for a present.

I'm ordering a big tin of Quality Street (he adores them) from me and Don and a big fat book of Sudokus and crosswords (he loves them) from the boys.
I bought lovely cards for him when we were in the UK.

Cousin then said the Quality Street was a stupid present!!

Well no, it's not actually.

I know dad will be delighted with them..that's the whole point, isn't it?

I'm sick to death of her having a pop at me for no reason.

I very rarely get upset but I'm feeling really hurt by her nastiness.

I've right this minute made up my mind to not let her 'get' to me again.

I don't want to unfriend her on fb...I'm thinking it would look childish.

I know my dad will break into a big smile when he opens the sweets..and that's all that matters.

I have no idea why she is like this..I remember in our childhood she was always a bit too ready with cutting comments.

I've had a cuddle from Don so feeling loads better.

What, exactly, would she buy a 75 yr-old? Hankies, a clock, socks?

If dad would enjoy a ton of Quality Street and a book of puzzles to solve as he tucks in, then they're the perfect presents! He is being looked after, mind and body. Good on you.

You know, if I asked my Dad what I could get him for a present he'd say a box of Thornton toffees!
Your Dad is going to be chuffed to bits with his Quality St and his puzzles, it shows that you've thought about what he likes and treated him to those things

My mum used to love a box of chocolate brazils at Christmas A box of those and a bumper edition of Wordsearch and she was happy

I'd love a tin of chocs myself although I prefer Roses or Celebrations - just in case anyone was wondering?
