https://www.justgiving.com/alyssaandklarabridge. Oh to be young and ambitious
My 21 year old Grandaughter and her sister are running in "The race for Life" on Sunday in Hastings.
They are doing it as their maternal grandad has been diagnosed with terminal cancer
This is their way of trying to help. They put up a target of £250 but have passed the £300 now so
have done well :)
The following day (Monday) she leaves for Canada where she has managed to get a job for 3
months looking after 3 children while their parents are working.
She has had to pay her own fare over but will earn wages and all her keep is thrown in.
She has been in touch with the lady on Skype and says she seems very nice and has told Alyssa
she will take her to New York and Chigago :D
Her University results will come through while she is away so she will get them online.
She says she will tell us if they are good but keep quiet if they are not :D :D
If she gets a satisfactory result she will be going to University in Falmer to take her Masters.
She is so excited and i admire her for having the nerve to do it on her own.
I will keep in touch via Skype and will miss her as will her Grandad.
Her 2 little brothers are upset already :(
lissie :D :D :D

Lissie fantastic news, young people should be encouraged to strive for excellence, travel and see and do as much as they can :) :)

So much has changed in my lifetime, sometimes it is hard to comprehend the opportunities available to people these days. So best wishes to all in achieving their goals - you should be very proud of them all, as I know you are :) :)
