Currys

What a crap company this has become. Phone numbers withheld when one tries to contact the distributor where one makes a purchase.
For years ago I bought a Whirpool Fridge Freezer "from Curry's it had been playing up, registering 2 degrees in the fridge instead of 5" and turning itself off from time to time. I was told that I would have to pay £70 fee for an engineer to call
( his fee).
So I decided to buy a new one. We went along to Currys chose a. Fridge and was told it would be delivered today between
7am and 11. am and the deliverers would telephone me an hour before delivery. I arose at 6.am went into the kitchen and
Started organising it ready for delivery. My gardener who does odd jobs got the mammoth fridge through to the gate ready for collection. 11 am no call. 12am no call so I tries to contact Currys. I was not a happy bunny an hour later
When I rang BT in desperation having spent thirty minutes trying to ring the the store and being told the number they gave was the wrong number asking whether they had an alternative them if they had another. "We can call it for you but it will cost £2.50 a minute.
They'd also could not get a response? I was hopping mad with the waffle when I tried various other. Numbers to no avail. Then I managed to get through to the head office that I thought was the shop where I bought the new fridge.. " No I got through to head office in Sheffield" not particularly apologetic. Told me when I sounded off I had two choices have a refund or wait for the delivery on Sunday. I was FURIOUS. Told them I had relayed my experience on Facebook. They were not amused. All numbers when and if one makes contact are withheld.
What a diabolical company Curry's has become, not even having the courtesy to telephone me stating the situation
I told them that I would be writing to the newspaper the one chap at head office was not amused. He said he had given me two options take it or leave it. That is the last time I shop with this third rate company
