I got a text just gone 9 this morning.

'Can you keep an eye on the house while we are away? Thanks.'

So I phoned back:
"Where are you?"
"Just going past Skipton."
"OK, when will you be back?"
"Next Friday evening, hopefully..... I left a few beers on your step as a thank you."
"Not so matey. I have been for a paper and didn't trip over any on the way out."

The phone goes quiet and I can hear a mumble conversation in the background...

"Frank? I thought that she had done it and she thought that I had done it. Sorry. I'll make sure that they get seen to......."

I suppose it's the thought that counts.

i presume you know them well, otherwise it would be a bit of a cheek.

Make sure you hold them to it

When you next speak to them, remind them it was barrels of beer. You wouldn't be able to see anything smaller!!
