My lovely lad..

I'm having a mum moment. :D

Jacob..in his usual whirling dervish way has finally just left for Competa.

I was running back up our road after my morning jogslog and could see a car outside our house packed with people.
And suitcases.
And boxes of food.
And crates of beer.

By the time I got to our gate Jacob had run in and out twice from the car to the house.

Don came out to finally wave him off/make sure he went when Jacob turned, shook his hand and gave him a big bear hug wishing him happy new year.

Then it was a kiss and cuddle for me..then he whispered there was something in the lounge for me.

We waved him off (this is the first time ever he won't be with us at midnight at new year) and I went inside.

He'd bought me a huge bunch of flowers and left a little note.

Big lump in throat and watery eyes time.

My lovely big Jacob. Hug smiley. :D

Oh how lovely :) I hope he has a fab time!

I know I moan at Tom with his teenage moods but one day before they broke up from school he texted me to say he'd be late. When he got back he went in his room and when he came out a few minutes later he gave me a present to be opened there and then. It was a lovely pair of thick wooly hand knit style socks. He'd bought a pair for his secret Santa present that he and his friends were doing and I'd been admiring them so he went and bought me a pair, just because...
He was a bit apologetic though because the secret Santa ones were cream and there were only red-pink ones left when he went to get mine but they're a far more practical colour for me. I love them!

I don't supposed you'd have cared if they'd been green with purple spots though, eh Jo? :)
