I think I've found The car.

Mick spotted one yesterday and we went and looked at it and I fell in love.

A five door Honda Civic. Cherry red with black leather interior. And six gears. And a big boot.

I didn't drive it though as there's no guarantee it'll still be there when the money comes through.

It has made me realise I want a smaller car though. I looked at SUVs and 4x4s whilst we were there.

Unless I see a nice Freelander of course.......

Ease of parking counts for a lot Debih :)
Fingers crossed it waits for you :)

That sounds great :D I'm not a big fan of 'Chelsea Tractors' anyway, although living rurally you do have the excuse for one 8-) ;) I expect the Civic would be more economical to run too.............? 8-) :)

Mick drives past this place every day and says that things tend to hang around (there are a clump of car sales places in that area). There were also loads within 40 miles of us on autotrader.

I didn't really want to physically look at cars until we have the money in case I set my heart on something.

Couldn't you pay a small deposit on it until the money comes through?

This isn't the one I looked at but is pretty much identical.

Very nice. I do love my Qashqai though. Our Burmese doctor at work has just bought one, that he insists on calling his quashy quashy

Nice 8-) :)
Unfortunately, we're looking at 'what the dog will fit into, hasn't done more than 50,000 miles and won't cost too much to tax or insure but hopefully won't fall apart too soon' rather than what anything looks like  :D
Still, what we looked at seems ok, I was too knackered when we came back today so we're going to go in the morning.
