Stupid eejit!

I think Mick and I were the intended target of an insurance scan this morning! This guy in the car in front of us was driving oddly on the roundabout, then when we pulled off on to the road up to the supermarket he slowed down, put a finger up at Mick then slammed on the brakes, forcing us to do the same!

Luckily Mick managed to stop in time - he got out of the car (much to my dismay, I did try to stop him) walked up to the window (guy looked scared as well he might!) Mick just said "behave yourself!" and got back in our car! We think he was probably looking for someone to slam into him - then claim whiplash or whatever........bloody idiot!

Blimey, it sure sounds like it Kaz, Mick did well to stop.
I'd have tried (and probably failed) to tell Bb not to get out as well.

We had a stupid one too actually. We walked with Minnie up into the village and just as we were near, a car (very young driver) came squealing round the corner and almost off the road - this on a village crossroads
So, so stupid - he was out of control and very nearly went on the pavement in front of us. We were very glad we weren't any nearer

We do get a lot of people driving oddly round here - but usually because they're 110
Sorry older drivers, I defend you a lot and many of you are terrific - but not this species

We were lucky Di that Mick is such an excellent driver - driven since he was 17 and never had a prang or scrape of any description (touch wood!) 8-)

That incident you describe sounds very scary, what a young idiot! :o  xxx

No Loz we didn't think of it at the time :(

Gal yes, it's a good job!!! With the problems I've had on and off with my neck, whiplash would be the last thing I needed :? :(

Definitely an eejit Kaz.

If you are going to pull a stunt like that you take the brake lights out first FCOL. Some criminals!

Mick should probably have stayed in the car, but...... ;)

There are so many drive scams going on.............. don't pull out if a car flashes you to do so, and keep a good distance from the car in front.

When I learned to drive I was always told to always keep a 2 second distance from the car in front of you and when you're at a stand still then the right distance away is if you can see their rear tyres....

Quick reaction from Mick thankfully Kaz

Thank goodness Mick reacted so quickly! :o

Someone went into the back of us last May while we were stationary at traffic lights, John had only had the car - brand new - for two weeks but thankfully the only damage done was a small scrape on the bumper, it sounded like it was going to be much worse from the bang when he ran into us. John wasn't so lucky though as it meant a recurrence of a shoulder/neck problem he'd been treated for with physio and ultrasound five years ago.

We did wonder if the young fella had insurance though when it happened. He pulled into a side street and I ran out to take photos of his car and number plate in case he drove away. John swapped details and he said he'd only been driving for a month, had only had the car for three weeks and couldn't remember who he was insured by which sounded a little suss! He did call later with his details though and everything was above board.
