Gobsmacked

Postby tonicha » 07 Apr 2014, 19:10

Completely and utterly gobsmacked, without words (very rare for me) and flummoxed.

A "friend" has just sent me a message on fb, as I just happened to turn the computer on and had a look-see.

Would I stay at her apartment, in the village (bear in mind she has the most untrained, uncontrollable and yappy dogs EVER ) - and could I please, whilst I'm there, look after a 3 year old Belgian boy    As she said, he'd be asleep

WHAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTT

What on earth are his parents thinking of and what the complete - sorry, words fail..........................

I've just gone back and looked again, in case I mis-read it.

No. I didn't.

I do know that Wednesday night is the night she likes to out on the booze, if she's not working ( a nurse - sorry Poll ;) ) and she has a friend coming down, and this is obviously her friends son.

But what the hell is/ are they thinking? I don't speak Belgain stuff, the lad doesn't know me and those blasted dogs........

She was another one we met from that expats board - I know, I know   - but she really is taking the p

When she was in hospital, she wanted to know why I didn't visit with books and we got inundated with texts from her  - and did she visit me when I was in there twice? Not at all, not even a text or phone call.

What a strange person :?
If you don't go (and why should you?) who will look after boy? Would they stay in and get sloshed or go out and leave him?

I have no idea Loz.

I will not be staying there and she knows a lot of people in the village, so will no doubt, ask them.

I do wonder if she's either working that night, apart from wanting to go and get sloshed and why can't her live-in boyfriend do it? If he's got any sense, he won't do it either. I think he's bonkers to get back with her.

I actually had to re-read your post a few times to make sure I wasn't reading it wrong; what a total and utter cheek of that person.
