Oh what a fabulous time we had.
It only took just under an hour to get there - Don drove so I got to see just how beautiful the scenery to this lovely place was.
We checked into the hotel at 1pm and by five past were sitting on our balcony enjoying a can of beer and the sea views.
We walked from one end of the promenade to the other then had the most fantastic lunch of prawns and salad starter then sea bass - I'd never had it before, it was delicious!
We then walked into the town and wouldn't you know it - I found a great bar!
We sat outside having a pint when up roared 7!!! leather clad blokes on their Harley Davidson's.
It was then I noticed the bar was called The Harley!
The big hairy biker blokes sat at the table next to us..it turned out they were Dutch (but they could all speak excellent Spanish and English) and we got chatting to them.
As you do.
The biggest of the big hairy bikers clocked me looking at his motorbike..then asked if I wanted a ride on it!
Did I ever!!!
I got on the back of it and he very kindly just went up the road and back down again - never losing sight of Don!
Once they'd roared off we walked back to the hotel, got showered and changed and off we went out again.
Just strolled around and popped into a couple of bars for a tinto verano.
We decided on a nightcap back at The Harley - out came the vodka cocktails.
We only had two though - we were hungry!
We found a fab Indian restaurant where a scrummy meal was enjoyed.
This morning we walked all along the promenade again then stopped in a cafe for a pitufo, orange juice and coffee.
Back to the hotel and checked out..whilst wholeheartedly agreeing we'll go there again.
I drove home to let Don enjoy the stunning views that I'd seen yesterday.
So..thanks to the boys lovely treat for us, we've found another stunning little town to add to our list of 'places to go.'
