Tis a cracker of a day here.

It's our 24th wedding anniversary and I'm super excited as we're going to Torre del Mar for a romantic interlude.

I'm looking forward to walking and exploring somewhere new, having a few beers and a bite to eat - and best of all I'll be with my beloved who just makes everything so much fun.

It's another dull murky day here, Mick had to have the car washed yesterday (they do it at the parking in the Quays, pay for a hand wash and you get your parking refunded) as it was covered in that Saharan sand My windows are too, we need a good windy day to blow it over I suppose Has anyone else here noticed it?

Hoping for a quiet day today, cooking a roast and maybe a bit of pottering outside in the garden - have a good day everyone xxxx

Very dull and wet here, and set to continue, tomorrow as well.
Kaz everything here has been smothered in it for a few days, I'm hoping this rain will get rid of most of it. People who washed it off on Wednesday were none too chuffed to find it twice as bad on Thursday I think it's meant to have gone now though.

We're going to the next town sometime this morning for some shopping (Morrisons have 25% off wine ) so dinner may depend on what we spot in there. Meantime sausages are cooking

And somehow, have to try and do that, wtch the grand prix and the footie, all at the same time

Morning all - sunshine here (a bit!) after two weeks of grey/damp/mist, so I think we are owed it!

We didn't get any Saharan sand, although they were digging the path up near work yesterday and all the parked cars in the street were getting fine yellow dust off that, the drilling went on all morning, we could hardly hear ourselves think!

No plans for today although we might (if the sun stays out) have a ride to the coast later on

The sun was trying to come out earlier when we got up but its cloudy now - just nice to not be foggy, most of the week we have had fog and rain

Kaz, my car had the sand/dust on it too, it was really bad on Monday and then I think again Wednesday/Thursday it was noticeable.

Lazy day here, we are both off for 2 weeks now for Easter, its nice to know I don't have to rush to get washing/ironing/shopping done today so am going to try and stay in my pj's all day!!

Tomorrow, me, Amy and my oldest niece are going to Holy Island in Northumberland for a wee day out - girls on tour
