Having a bit of a rant UPDATED AGAIN

as you really do have to wonder what this country is coming to
First up, at the moment D (my MIL) as part of her voluntary job with Age UK is visiting a lady who is only 58, but has multiple health issues. She has MS and very poor eyesight and mobility because of that, so uses a wheelchair. She has had two strokes so can only use her right arm - but is left handed. She also only has one kidney due to a childhood illness. Now would you regard this lady as employable? Can you believe she has been told by the DWP (or whoever do this these days) that she is fit to do some work "You could do telesales perhaps" she has been informed She of course has told them she can't, so this afternoon was facing a home visit and was very stressed about it when D visited her yesterday
Secondly, D has had a letter today from the CPS, despite that young man confessing to breaking her window the case has been dropped "Due to lack of evidence" More likely it is too much trouble as if he is prosecuted they will have to decide what exactly to do with him - and the lack of mental health resources around here is pretty obvious every time you walk through the city centre to be honest
Thirdly, despite numerous phone calls, complaints etc the glass company have still not been out to fix D's window
Do you know, despite the fact that I would miss her like mad, I really hope that B's animal conservation career does take her abroad, to build a good life, as this country has just about had it in my opinion
