Un blinkin' believeable

Postby tonicha » 12 Mar 2014, 16:59

I was in the front garden, dead-heading, when 4 French people across the road started talking and pointing at our house (we have a sign outside).

One man came over and was having a real good look, so I said "boa tarde", as you do. He replied in French and asked what the price was. Told him, off he went with the other people, on the other side of the road.

My English neighbour, also outside, saw me chatting to the bloke and as they got to her house, ran across the road and ushered them into hers

Now they'll think our house is as nasty as hers

Don't really care (much ;) ) if they do - it's one less on the market.

And we're pretty sure, if she was offered 160,000, she'd dnap their hands off.

So that's 180 to buy it, a good 40 spent on it - sell it for 160, that makes a loss of at least 60

and I'm telling a lie - I'd hate her to sell hers first

I'm not surprised - as Grumpy said, she's desperate to sell.

Her husband was always boasting about how much money they had  , what they made  how many new cars they bought a year   blah blah

And now?

She's in a rented flat in England and needs the money from the sale of this house to buy in England.
