I bought a combination padlock with three dials.

So, Franky opened the lock using 0-0-0 and, keeping it still, turned the dials to the last three of his old service number - very memorable. He then passed the lock through the chain and closed it. He then set the dials to random numbers and it was locked. He then set the dials to the last three of his - very memorable - old service number: STILL LOCKED but with a chain attached!
He is now thinking that one or all or any or every dial could have been set at a number above or below the ones he wanted........ He could be some time!

The default combination is 0-0-0. To set your own combination use the default combination to open the lock then, keeping the lock still, move the dials to a memorable number. On closing the lock your new combination will be set; turning the dials to a random number will lock the padlock. To open it set the dials to your new combination.
