somewhere warmer

I've got socks, leggings, trousers, t-shirt, jumper and slippers on.

It's 19C inside and I'm cold

I can understand why a lot of our friends have moved to Brazil

I'll swap!

It's 22C in here and I have only just put the heating on! There's a Co-op just round the corner and the countryside is only 10 mins walk away. ;)

But as you say WM you did put the heating on :)
I was going to say that in fairness, it was 19 in here and decidedly cold - you need the sun warming the house to really feel warm don't you :)

Totally agree Di, my heating is set for 19 degrees as well and it can be really chilly on a grey damp day, yet when the sun shines the 19 degrees feels so much warmer

The sunshine has a psychological effect too, it suggests warmth so we feel warmer :)

We open the shutters this time of year, to get the sun in and warm us up

These houses are built to keep the heat out, not in

That's how they are built in South Africa as well Ton, and the weather there is also changing and the winters can be absolutely freezing, esp as there is no such thing as central heating!
