Don: We're only going to the UK for 4 days in March so our 10kg hand luggage will be enough won't it Al?

Me: No.

Don Why?

Me: I've bought a few things and they're waiting at Jackie's for me to bring back.

Don: Deep sigh. What have you bought? It's not much is it?

Me: 4 dresses. 3 tops. 2 books. And a parcel of wool. (Thanks Osc )

The funny thing is he gets more annoyed at check-in if the case has a spare kilo - his thinking is he's paid for it therefore it should be filled to capacity.

I thought of you and shopping the other day actually, I went into Boots and the girl on the till asked if I was ever going to spend my Boots points - I thought "you should see my friend Ally's card - mine's a mere pittance at £120"

I've not long been looking at the Boots website and have decided some points will be deducted by way of a bottle of my favourite Clarins perfume and the matching shower gel.

But then points will be added on again!
