Good morning all, I hope everyone stayed safe last night. I let Billy out before going to bed around 1.30 and blimey, it was wild out there :?

I'm up to get Tom off on his paper round, I've got some housework to do and hopefully I can get to the gym tonight.

Have a good day, and stay safe xx

Morning Jo, morning everyone

Hope everyone is safe, well and dry over there xx

A mixed bag, cloud wise this morning, although rain all day  is forecast.

Ally, no Mr Martin this morning, he was taken to hospital yesterday, all ok tho :D

I'll be spending the day doing nowt - lousy nights sleep, due to this muck in my system. Poor Grumpy had to suffer too   So I'll be dozing on the sofa if you need me. and I still can't hear him

Have a good day everyone, well, as much as you can xx

Morning all :)

I hope everyone is unscathed by the weather last night - we had one heck of a storm, luckily no damage that we can see. It made Pepper very restless, so we've not slept too well  Harry is still asleep - don't suppose he heard a thing

The storm has gone now, the sky is clear - how long that will last I don't know but hopefully we'll be able to get out today, have some lunch, and go and see my MIL :)

Have a good day today everyone if you can, thinking of you all xxxxx

Morning all,

Wet and dull here, I am glad its not snowing though - we went out for an early dinner yesterday and when we left about 430 it was snowing heavily :-(

Glad everyone is safe, it really seems like the south of England are being hit very hard this year :(

We have Amy's swimming lesson at 11, so off to get ready for that and then going to go around carpet/flooring shops to see if I can get a cheap bit of vinyl for my bathroom.

Hope you all have a good day and stay safe and warm .

Poll x

Just a day pootling around the house I think. Little jobs to be done. Need to go to Lidl too.
Keep safe and dry everyone xxx

Morning all. We seem to have survived the storm.

No plans for today other than chill out. I think I'm coming down with what Mick had as I ache all over.

Morning :)
Phew, I'm here! :D

There we were, enjoying a drink, me on here and Bb on the tablet/watching Tv. The lights had flickered quite a few times during the evening, then it all went dark  Isn't it...dark when everything goes off!!

Thankfully it looked like a full moon so even through the storm there was a little bit of light. We found the candles by the light of our phones and the tablet :D But blimey, 8 tealights and a couple of tall candles don't give out much light :D
It went off about 11.30, so after half an hour or so waiting to see if it came back on we went to bed - having stumbled around turning off everything that had been on :)
I set my phone alarm for 7 (Olympics), and the bedside radio alarm said 4.10 so it had come back on around 3.
No internet though! :o  But at least we could have coffee etc :)
Had intended setting bread up last night but luckily had a single roll in the freezer so sent Bb off to work with that. Set it up for a rapid loaf this morning and it's come out all funny, I think the yeast has died :(

No damage to us thank goodness, we're lucky I think that these houses all have walled gardens, it shelters and breaks up the wind a bit. The house at right angles to our back garden lost several roof tiles, so probably others have too.
Don't know how the town was yet, but 32 people had to be evacuated from a restaurant in the next village - rocks from the beach were apparently hurtling through the windows

Right, back to today :)
Do take care Saundra, hope you're ok xx
Have a good day all, and the poorly ones look after yourselves
