The cul de sac at the bottom of my ex's road is being evacuated and the water is still creeping up
Harry can't get to school, so as we were having him for half term from this weekend on anyway we are going to get him early......It's a matter of when Mick can get away from his desk.....
This is a complete nightmare, can't remember when I was last this worried TBH

(((((((((((((((Kaz))))))))))))) It is just awful I know, but Harry will be safe with you and that's the main thing. How are things with C?

(((Kaz)))) don't blame you for being worried. Good idea getting Harry early - it'll be one worry less for you once he's safe with you. Hope Chris is OK?

Your worry is understandable, Kaz.
One wonders when this terrible weather is going to end.
I feel so sorry for the folk who have been flooded out. It must be such a trauma.

Aggers, I wonder what people like you, Kaz, Di, Debih, Gal me etc would do given most shelters won't allow pets? What do those poor people do? Chances are kennels - if they're not flooded themselves - would be full to bursting with evacuated pets and there is only so much space!

No idea meriad, since we probably wouldn't be able to travel anywhere to friends who would take Minnie for instance.
Thankfully it's highly unlikely for us at least.
Kaz that's the best thing, have H there with you. I know it's natural to worry, but, honestly, it won't change or help anything, there's no point worrying away. Somehow it will all come to an end, people will manage, life will go back to normal (((((x)))))

I know you'll still worry Kaz - but having H there with you will help, I'm sure. xxxxx

Yes, I feel a lot better now I know Harry is coming here! Pointless worrying I know Di - I wish I didn't but I think we never stop worrying abut them no matter how old they get! Talking of which Chris is still stranded but has electric and drains working so wants to stay put rather than come over here.....
About the pets Ria I was wondering the same. There is no way on earth we would leave our two to their fate, so I do wonder. Kennels perhaps, or relatives/friends who are out of the flooding risk? It is terrible for people, but also lots of animals have died or will die in all this, lots of farm animals and horses etc
Thanks for the support everyone xxxxx

Kaz, it will be good to have H with you even if to only help lower your stress levels. Here's hoping that you all mange to cope, including C.
