My cushion

Have had a fab time at the beginners quilting workshop and will definitely be going to another class - probably a bag making workshop in May.

This has been a great grounding as I have learnt loads and now feel perfectly capable of making my cushion covers for the dining room seats.

However I first want to buy a rotary cutter, mst and ruler - so much easier than scissors!

Here is what I made. I love the floral fabric and wished I had gone for reds rather than green but I'm really pleased with it. We practised on bits and pieces in the morning and made the cushion in 3 hours. The only thing I didn't do was cut the fabric for the back, but every thing else was me - a complete novice.

The second cushion is the back of the first cushion.

I want to make 6 cushions to go on my dining chairs (brown suede) and I think I might use the floral fabric for the .

I want to buy a rotary cutter, mat and ruler first though to make cutting straight lines easier.

Well done Debih, it's brilliant! :D

Making cushion covers is lovely, you can find material so easily and get an instant update for your furniture :)
Look in charity shops for duvet covers, or curtains ;) Some do have pieces of material too.
I've made one for a dining chair, the one kept in 'my' little room, it was pretty easy :)
The cutter and mat do make a huge difference, I really struggled with straight lines :D

Those workshops sound really good :)
