are an amazing thing aren't they. Friends of ours had their third this morning, a little boy to join two older sisters. I've just seen a photo of him and he's the spitting image of the girls when they were born. The girls as they are getting older have different features but as babies - peas in a pod.

Yet when I look at baby photos' of my four siblings and myself we all are quite different. I find it all quite fascinating

Amazing isn't it??? My Becky and her cousin, my sister's girl, are so very alike!!! But then my sister and I are too............... 8-)

My cousin Jasper - Zoe's brother - who I have not seen since we were children - sent me a link to his business website (he deals in Tag Hauer watches in Germany) and a photo of him on there absolutely amazed me!! He is the dead spit of one of my uncles at the same age, his mum's brother!

Oh I love things like this! :D

On our stairs leading to the top landing is a picture of Jacob aged about 10.

When we first moved into this house I was giving Con the 'tour' when he stopped in his tracks at the photo and asked me how long I'd had this particular photo of Ed (his son) :o

He actually thought it was his own child that's how alike they were at that age. :D

Mum was from a large Irish/Scottish family and all of my female cousins who were born to her sisters look the same, as do my male cousins who were born to her brothers. They could all be from one big family.

The rest of us are plain old mongrels.

Harry looks just like Chris at a similar age - except H is a lot skinnier in build :)

If you put the five of us in a row you can sort of work out that we are related. My sister and I probably look the most alike. My youngest brother is probably the 'odd one out' in that he looks so similar to my mom's uncle (her mothers brother) whereas the rest of us all favour my dad's side of the family

The other day one of my brothers posted this picture on FB. It is 3 of my 5 brothers...I think you can tell they are related!
They all look like my dad and my granddad. I think it's lovely to 'see' your family on your face when you look in the mirror :D

Genetics are amazing aren't they?
The moment Tom was born I was reminded of a photo of my Dad which had been taken when he was about 5, he was the absolute image of him. And when Joe was born he was the double of Tom. They're not so alike now although you can tell they're brothers and sometimes I even see similarities to R, John's sister's oldest son, in some of Tom's expressions.

I was really taken aback when I met John's cousin L who lives in Norwich though. I'd met her sister but never her and walking into her parents house when staying with them, I came face to face with John's sister's double - the only difference being that L has dark hair and T is a red head.
