Spring bulbs

Postby TheOstrich » 26 Jan 2014, 19:43

Such a mild winter .... we noticed today that we've now got a number of snowdrops in bud or flowering underneath the red robinia at the front of the house.

Our tubs of geraniums have overwintered and one has flowered! And, rather eerily, we also have four toadstools on our front lawn ....

Yes, we have loads of bulbs especially snowdrops out now. I only hope we don't have a bout of frost to kill them all off.

I posted a pic of my daffs the other day, they are very nearly budding!

The almond trees have been in flower for about three weeks and I actually had a rose out  and a hibiscus flower last week.

Makes you feel a lot happier, doesn't it :D :D

Only my hyacinths are poking through at the moment, no sign of the crocus bulbs yet.
