My two managers are away the week of 17th February so perfect time for me to take a day or two off as well and treat myself to a spa day with Nadine and also do some shopping because the shops will be nice and quiet...

ha ha ha - no such luck; it's darn half term that week    ,which sort of does mess up plans. Make no mistake, I love my niece and nephew dearly but I was really looking foward to some civilised 'quiet' shopping time and a leisurly long lunch with Nadine and another friend or two; without lots of wanna-be yummy mummy's and their unruly offspring making the shopping centre a rather 'not so nice' place to be.

And as most of the friends all have school aged children it's not even as though I can invite them to mine for lunch - I don't have space for everyone

grrrrrrrrr - so now back to the drawing board; may end up taking the days end January instead if I can

I know exactly what you mean Ria, even though I've got children I hate going anywhere during school holidays because it seems that wherever you go, you come across unruly children and parents who can't control them, or have no interest in controlling them.

I hope you can get a few relaxing days off!

The forecast for the middle to the end of the month is for it to be more settled and a bit drier...... Well, it couldn't get much wetter, could it? :o

I can never get away from my manager. She is sitting down stairs at the moment doing her nails as we are going out this evening.
Hopefully on 17th February we will be in the Caribbean.

I'd try to change it if I were you Ria ;) I've had three of my own I know, but find I have very little patience for the racket small children make these days
