Morrisons online delivery

Just had my first one and I was very impressed.

They were early, but they rang to see if that was ok.
Everything was packaged in the right colour bags, unlike Tesco who seem to throw everything in any bag.
The bags were full unlike Tesco who put one thing in each bag.
No substitutes and they contact you to tell you if there are
Summary sheet lists everything by sell by date

Will certainly be using them again

My only gripe was some things they sell in store were not available online, so I will ring them and enquire about that one :?: :?:

They've only recently started doing home deliveries haven't they?
Glad it worked out for you! I like Morrisons but our local one is on the other side of town and closes quite early at night, 8pm.

oh i didn't know they did delivery! I do like Morrisons, and am quite excited that they are currently building one in the town where I live :D :D

We used to have Tesco within 5-10min walk, but it moved about 1.5mile away to make a bigger store, we only really have Lidl and Farmfoods in the town centre, so Morrisons is going to be a great asset :D

>>off to see if they deliver near me!

xx

That'll be useful for you Poll. Morrisons used to be the only large(ish) supermarket in our town centre(ish), along with the smaller Lidl (now B&M Bargains), Aldi and Somerfield (which is now Home Bargains) at one time...but then Asda built a store twice the size and I'm surprised that Morrisons stayed after that. It's always quiet in there and they cut their opening times because it just needed need to be open so early and late.

Just checked and they don't deliver to my area yet.

I am amazed it has taken them so long to start this service.

I have not used Morrisons for some time now as the nearest one is a long bus ride away, but their fruit and veg and meat and fish used to knock spots off the others for value and quality.

They've been saying for ages they were going to start :)

Don't think I'd use it, we do sometimes have a delivery when Bb's working a lot, but would still get that from Tesco I think, it seems cheaper than Morrisons on a lot of basic things. I don't know how they actually compare, but for our average shop I don't use either anyway.
Agree about the meat, I don't buy any meat at all from Tesco but we usually just go to the little one in town for top-ups, a lot of our normal shopping is at Lidl these days :)

Morrissons have just opened a small convenience store within walking distance. It is on a main road with a car park so will get a lot of passing traffic. May hit a Farmfoods and Co-op which are near.
Have not used any of the on line delivery services.
