Poor People

Postby KateLMead » 21 Dec 2012, 09:02

Poor people who are suffering from the floods has brought the problem nearer home..a friend of my daughter a single mother who has three children two of whom are indolent awoke to find her house flooded yesterday.. She is in a terrible state, seemingly her ex husband may not have insured the property as agreed.my daughter took my humidifier to her hoping it might help as it draws in the water to a well to be emptied..My daughter asked where her sons were.."In bed asleep" she said through her tears. What? said my daughter. The sad thing is that the house is on the market and she had a prospective buyer . She works for a titled family who unbelievably were most un sympathetic... I was amazed that their only concern was that she "serve them"
And attends their needs!!! (as- agreed). Under her contract......Talk about that Christmas Spirit!!!
She is coming to me for Christmas, the children are going to their father, not one of them showed any concern for her!!

That's an awful shame Kate

I hope the insurance thing gets sorted and her house is dried out soon!

As to the titled people I can't say it surprises me much, I met one or two when I lived in Yorkshire - a close friend was related to the Master of the Hunt there, we lived in a cottage close to his huge farm/manor house and I went to a few 'dos' there. On the whole they were horrors! :o

I would tip those lads out of bed I'm afraid - I think youngsters are mostly great but can be lazy if allowed to get away with it!!!! Sounds like she has let them get away with a bit too much with no dad around to boot them up the backside! :?

Poor woman though
