I am sick to death of the Soaps. "Coronation Street "what a dirge"
Emmerdale...terrible acting, terrible scripts
What has happened to "The idea and meaning of entertainment"

For many years the only soap we watched was Coronation Street, but we stopped watching it almost 18 months ago because of ridiculous stories and truly awful acting - we don't miss it one little bit.

The terrible negative awful scripts, Hayley dying with cancer, it must make anyone going through the damned emotional strain of having it utterly negative and depressing.
Any way I will no longer listen or watch the CRAP.
Happy Healthy NewYear my dear dear Osc.xxx

The new producer has made a big difference to Coronation Street. There is some very fine acting in the current story lines.
Maybe the Hayley storyline has helped some people who have similar to cope with. I haven't found it negative at all.
I have lost two close friends to cancer in recent years, plus my own mother when I was young. I have found the Hayley story line very moving and it has in a way helped me to understand better what they all went through.

Happy Healthy 2004. Rodo.for those who have cancer the programme in my opinion
Is terrible, I have had the scourge of the disease, and have close friends who are
Undergoing treatment at this time. I was not negative, and have to go for a follow up
next month, for those who are in the throes of this terrible disease the negativity of the
Programme and the acting in my opinion has an adverse psychological effect on the
Sufferer.

Havn`t got the time or the inclination to watch rubbish like East Enders and the only half decent ones like Summer Wine or Two Pints, they soon flog to death.

We haven't watched a soap for donkey's years, so I just can't comment.
I can understand that it must be easy to get hooked on them, but I guess
there are many things worse that one can get hooked on.
