Special thoughts today

For those who have lost loved ones, this or any year.
Christmas is never quite the same without them, yet we know they would want us to enjoy the day. And we will.
But later, a candle will be lit and a few quiet moments will be spent thinking of those special people and Christmasses past.
We will raise a glass and be grateful they were in our lives.

Lovely thoughts Di.
We've lit a candle in memory of Con.
He had an amazing zest for life and would want us to carry on enjoying ours.
God bless you Con.

That's beautiful Di - as soon as the light faded yesterday I lit some candles - a special Christmas scented one and my metal Christmas tree that holds tea lights - and thought of my Mum, and my Dad. I'll do the same today for them, and for all of our lost loved ones. Gone but always in our hearts xxxxxxx
Hugs for all ((((((((((((((((x)))))))))))))))))))))))))))

My wonderful Granddad died on Christmas Day 1999. Today is always full of very mixed emotions.

Christmas Day is a time of mixed emotions for many of us.
It brings out the best in most people.
Being sentimental and shedding a silent tear can be a heart-warming experience.
