In between copious amounts of honey and lemon drink, dry cough syrup and cold and flu remedy capsules. Plus lots of sitting down and snoozes.

The lamb is cooking slowly and the potatoes are on. The veg is prepped. The house is tidy. I just have the table to lay, the starter to plate up and the bread to toast. Then I can go get myself dressed - I am still in my pj's.

Still got another hour or so to go before they arrive.

Potatoes should be cooked by then so they can be moved to the other oven and the pizzas and garlic bread can go in. I might part cook the carrots as that will save another job when they get here - so only the gravy to make (Micks job) and the cabbage to cook.

Well, we had a lovely evening. My flu remedy kicked in and after a slow start, nursing one glass of fizz for about 90 minutes I started on the red, then the toffee vodka and now I feel fine and dandy!!!

One family left at 10.30 as they are travelling to Hereford tomorrow and the other family (our friends that we spend Boxing Day with ) left at about 1am - they only have to walk down the hill. They left their children behind as they were all fast asleep in our girls beds (with our girls!).

All cleaned up - dishwasher on, pile of stuff waiting to be washed/put away but now I'm off to bed.

You have no idea how long it took me to post a legible post!!!!!
